A Novella
A Thousand Words
in Silence
Silence. Love. God.
Silence is not empty.
Sometimes a ghost, other times a flicker. Sometimes presence, other times void. Sometimes surrender, other times rain.
It is rich. It is full. It is deep.
Love — in silence, it begins.
In the shade of hope, it grows. It dares to reach the impossible, heedless of the cost. And then it wages war — war against reason.
Reason — it shields us.
It weighs and waits. It fears the cost. It trembles before uncertainty.
The war is silent — but no less bloody, no less brutal, no less violent. It tears the self into invisible pieces.
We need an Anchor.
A Sustainer.
The One Who sees beyond the seen. The One Who hears before words find their shape. The One Who does not always remove the uncertainty — but never abandons us within it.
We surrender to Him, heart and mind.
Only then do we find peace.
Only then do we find Love beyond love.
He has learned how to survive without being seen.
She notices the silence he carries.
He moves through life with quiet discipline — invisible to the world, anchored only by an unwavering faith in The One Who sees what others cannot. To himself, he is a ghost.
Then comes a flicker.
When her eyes meet his, the careful balance of his life begins to tilt. In her gaze, there is no demand and no promise — only recognition. For the first time, the silence he has guarded so fiercely feels like a cage.
But between them stretches a void — faith, culture, the weight of worlds apart. He cannot chase. He cannot change who he is to be chosen. And he will not force a connection that might cost him his integrity — or hers.
At every edge of uncertainty, he returns to his Anchor. Sometimes He resolves. Sometimes He sustains. Sometimes He only deepens his understanding.
But he is never alone. And he is never without hope.
